Application criteria:
• High school performance, including grades and level of course work
• Completion of high school course prerequisites as set by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education
• Standardized test scores (SAT or ACT). If you take the SAT more than once, we will use the highest Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score and highest Math score from all administrations. If you take the ACT more than once, we will use the highest composite score or –
• Test Optional Form and short answer essay

Completed freshman application will include the following items:
1. A non-refundable application fee of $50.
2. SAT Reasoning or ACT test scores Or Test Optional Form and short answer essay.
3. High School Transcript: An official copy of your transcript should be mailed or faxed directly from your high school. Winthrop’s fax number is 803-323-4952.
